Lease purchased furniture through ******. Returned furniture and settled account thereby satisfying the terms of the contract. Collection on Bureaus RE: ****** account: xxxxx **; Accelerated Financial Solutions/Services account: xxxxx **** On 6/29/2013, at ******** Furniture located at ***** ***** Lane in ******* Texas, I selected furniture and filled out an application to lease/purchase the same through ******. A few days later I took delivery of furniture of the same type and style I had selected in the showroom; however, I immediately noticed it was not new. The furniture had nicks and scratches which someone tried to mask but was obvious. I told the delivery person and he told me to call the office and assured me they would take care of it. I called and spoke with Donna who said the furniture I selected was on back-order and would switch it out in a few days upon its arrival. I was young, naïve, not to mention single and pregnant with my first child and I believed her. After numerous calls and several months of payments I told her to pick up the furniture. I scheduled ******** to pick up the furniture 3 times over 4 months and they never showed up. Once I became angry and confronted her on the telephone she told me that my contract required me to return the furniture. 2 months later, on September 16, 2014 I rented a truck and returned the furniture to Donna K******* herself and was told my contract was settled. 5 years later, I go to purchase a new car and learn that I have a collection appearing on my credit report with Accelerated Financial Solutions for $3,818.00. I disputed the account with the 3 credit reporting agencies and Accelerated Financial Solutions, instead of removing or deleting the account, verified it! I have had enough. Not only am I not naïve anymore, I also work for a large law firm here in ****** and know my rights. I hereby demand Accelerated Financial Solutions delete collection accounts from all three credit reporting agencies within 5 days of receipt of this complaint. Should you fail to comply with this demand, an action will be filed immediately seeking all applicable civil remedies. This matter has also been formally submitted to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Texas office of the Attorney General. I will not stop until this is rectified.

Kristie (or Christie) called my home number (972-********) from Accelerated Financial Solutions and requested that I verify my name and my birthday was July 1965. My birth year is not 1965, but I was not going to confirm or deny any information to these people. She would not give me any additional information as to why she was calling or why I needed to verify myself or my birth information. I asked for her name, company name, and telephone number and called back to see if she would answer and she did. This is the second time someone has called me from this company. I need to know why they are contacting me and if this call is legitimate. Also, the calls need to stop. This company appears to be a problem with other consumers. I hope they are not allowed to put any false information on my credit report. Thank you.

This company contacted my husband on his personal work cell phone that he never gives to anyone except work related issues. They called him about a debt that they claim I owe. They are scam artist and never contacted me by phone or letter that I am aware of. I called the number and it does not tell you who they are or why they are calling. Just a voicemail with no information. I finally got a answer today from a lady that would not give me information, but wanted my date of birth and personal information. I told her off and told her she must think I am an idiot!! She finally told me she was with AFS. She would not tell me how she got my husband's personal work number and refused to tell me what she wanted and Cussed her out, because she is a scam artist within a unprofessional business that should be put out of business. I told her if she contacted my husband or myself again I would contact an attorney . They had no right or permission to call my husband's place of employment with their scam. They broke all Fair Debt Act Rules. I have no other information. I will contact all 3 credit bureaus to make sure they do not ruin my credit. They were told to Never contact myself, husband, or anyone that is associated with us. I am so tired of these Scam Artist that are allowed to be in business.

Do not give them the benefit of the doubt. Do not believe their story on the phone. Do not be fooled by the stories of the compassionate owner.

Do not give them false information. If they ask for personal details such as family details, it is a requirement that you provide only the facts accurate to your knowledge. Please do not make up your background to convince them of your status, especially when they are persistent in harassing calls and collection letters.

Do not allow them to bully you into decisions. They may not disclose their intentions of contacting the authorities. However, this is an alarm for you to take legal action against them.

Do not forget about their word. The collectors will offer several solutions to your problem, such as an apology letter, gifts, and cash incentives. It would help avoid any solutions mentioned in any collection letter from these perverts.
